Aer City Pack Pro Under Seat in Boeing 737-800. Although I do really like the x-pac material, for many of the reasons the folks on this thread. I have both the TP2 small in Cordura and the TP3 small in x-pac. In my experience, your top issue will be scuffs on the DWR that's on the fabric versus from the fabric itself. Hey guys I wanna get a travel pack 3 for traveling. The abrasion resistance is a much over rated quality IMO. I've taken hundreds of trips with them with no problems. I also have a lot of dyneema bags which, reading the forums, people make it sound like it's made out of tissue paper, but is pretty durable. I'm pretty hard on my bags and I've never had a problem with XPAC scuffs and I have scuffs on my 1080d ballistic! NOTE: I have XPAC bags with cordura facing so you can't assume "XPAC" means "not cordura"!! XPAC (assuming a nylon face and not a cordura face!!) is more "crinkly" and stiff, but it's a smooth fabric so it doesn't pick up dirt/lint/hair and it won't abrade your clothes. Aer has so many bags now it is hard to choose. It also picks up pet hair & dust like a magnet, so it can require constant brushing off. The carry-on travel backpack that keeps you moving. Aer City Pack Pro vs Travel Pack 3 Small. High-visibility orange interior liner (bluesign® approved) Lay-flat main compartment for spacious storage and easy packing. YKK® AquaGuard® zippers for all major compartments. I've had jeans that have had the belt loops worn through because that's where the bag rub against them. VX-42 X-Pac exterior by Dimension-Polyant®. So, for example, it makes a terrible material for a shoulder bag because it rubs clothes & can ruin them. Secondly is the larger compartments for tech storage and in my opinion, the superior organisational features. Firstly is the dedicated laptop compartment, I’m not a fan of the way the Nomatic has it on the main opening flap. Also really liking the ballistic nylon feel in comparison to the XPAC (have an XPAC for the OG city pack) albeit it feeling heavier. Personally, though, I still prefer the Aer Travel Pack 3 for a few reasons. I don’t even imagine it looking out of place as an EDC, as many others have mentioned. Cordura is abrasive resistant, but it also abrades your clothes and/or anything it touches. I would say the TP3 small could definitely work as a hybrid travel/EDC pack with no issues.
